A: Ooh my blood's boiling. Firstly, you're not a child and shouldn't have to seek permission from your husband to go to an event. Secondly, I'm fed up with hearing negative comments about Oohtique! from people who HAVE NEVER SET FOOT INSIDE THE SHOP. Why do people criticize when they haven't even been there?! Oohtique's greatest challenge is replacing people's ignorant and judgmental preconceptions with fact. So, here are the facts:

1. We are an upmarket boutique and lounge bar that so happens to offer a tasteful range of bedroom products in a discreet separate room. So if you're scared of these products (which many people seem to be) then you can visit Oohtique! without so much as seeing any! Really! A recent customer described our shop as a 'Goddess store' which is much more fitting than the usual stereotypes!
2. We were part of the government's Romancing Singapore campaign, so we can't be doing anything wrong or sleazy! In reality, we're actually helping people have successful relationships and satisfying intimacy – so really only divorce lawyers should dislike us ;)
3. Everything we sell is legal. We have not one but two lawyers to ensure this is the case. Aphrodite has no desire to go to prison for your love lives! As much as she believes in the cause of 'pure and lasting love,' she simply doesn't suit orange boiler suits or short hair!
4. People who make negative statements without visiting our store are quite simply stupid. They probably also have sexual hang-ups and are bad in bed! God gave us the pleasure of sex. So it beats me why so many people think on it as dirty, sleazy, just for baby making, guilt-ridden and so on. Why are people more at ease with the idea of Orchard Tower's 'Four Floors of Whores' than Oohtique? A very warped perception of sex. Think about it…
